Larsen & Toubro’s Buildings & Factories (B&F) vertical has made significant strides in the construction sector with the recent acquisition of multiple high-profile contracts across India. The conglomerate’s B&F division, renowned for its expertise in delivering complex infrastructure projects, has secured two major orders that underscore its capability and reach in the industry.

The first contract involves the construction of a state-of-the-art super-speciality hospital at Gachibowli, Hyderabad, for the prestigious Asian Institute of Gastroenterology. This project encompasses a vast array of responsibilities including civil structures, finishes, facade work, interiors, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) services, paramedical facilities, and external development jobs. The total built-up area for this development spans an impressive 1.1 million square feet, reflecting the scale and ambition of the undertaking.

Simultaneously, L&T’s B&F division has clinched another substantial contract for the construction of expansive office space in Mumbai. Spread across approximately 13 lakh square feet, this project will feature a combination of civil and composite steel structures for a building that will house 2 basement floors, a ground floor, 6 podium levels, and 18 office floors. Scheduled to be completed within 20 months, this project highlights L&T’s commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure within stringent timelines.

The B&F division’s proficiency in executing projects involving steel structures and composite steel technology has been a cornerstone of its success. This advanced construction technique not only ensures structural integrity but also enhances efficiency in project execution, meeting the growing demands of modern infrastructure development.

Commenting on these developments, a spokesperson from Larsen & Toubro emphasized the company’s dedication to innovation and excellence in construction. They stated that these contracts underscore L&T’s leadership in the infrastructure sector and its ability to deliver world-class facilities that meet the evolving needs of its clients.

The Asian Institute of Gastroenterology’s decision to entrust L&T with the construction of their new super-speciality hospital reflects the company’s reputation for reliability and quality in the healthcare infrastructure segment. Similarly, the Mumbai office project demonstrates L&T’s capability to manage large-scale commercial developments in India’s financial capital, a testament to its strong project management and execution capabilities.

These recent wins add to Larsen & Toubro’s impressive portfolio of projects across diverse sectors including healthcare, commercial real estate, transportation, and industrial facilities. The company’s B&F division continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the urban landscape of India, contributing significantly to the country’s infrastructure growth.

Looking forward, Larsen & Toubro remains committed to leveraging its engineering prowess and technological advancements to drive sustainable development and create value for its stakeholders. With a robust pipeline of projects and a proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure solutions, L&T is well-positioned to capitalize on future opportunities in the dynamic construction industry.

As the demand for modern infrastructure continues to grow, L&T’s B&F division stands ready to uphold its reputation as a leader in the construction sector, delivering projects that set benchmarks for quality, innovation, and efficiency.
